Graduate Scholarship Programs Preference will be given to those who study aims to apply information / image processing to studies in medicine, physical sciences, astronomy or engineering.

Eligibility Details:

Graduate Scholarship Programs Applicants must have a physical science or engineering as an important part of their undergraduate degree. For the purposes of this scholarship, the science of physics would be considered mean physics, chemistry and mathematical sciences and information. At the time of application students must engage in postgraduate study (honors, masters or doctorate).Graduate Scholarship Programs Students in final year undergraduate studies are eligible to register. Postdoctoral Position in Eawag Aquatic Research

Scholarship Application Essay The work referred to will focus on early diagenetic processes / Fe Mn in sediment layers of Lake Baikal, Siberia.

Lake Baikal is the largest freshwater reservoir on earth, and very oligotrophic and pristine in the majority. The city is located in the tectonic rift zone, is 25-30 years old and holds mio some 7 km of sediments. Well-structured layers of Fe and Mn oxide forms on the redox interface of sediments in some locations.Scholarship Application Essay In certain areas of the lake floor, the remains are buried in the sediment layer and bear the possibility to be used as a proxy indicator of past global changes in climate conditions. Currently, however, not clear under what circumstances the crust formed and was buried.
